HAPPY Screening at 650 Feet Below the Surface of the Earth!!

I have just learned that Kansas Underground Salt Museum will be hosting a special screening of the documentary "HAPPY" on Dec. 15th!! "HAPPY" is a documentary on the science of happiness, and I am willing to bet that an attitude of gratitude and helping out others with small acts of kindness are attributes of the happiest people that they find! Won't you save the date for this once in a lifetime chance to watch a screening of "HAPPY" 650 feet below the surface of the earth?

Details on ticket price will be announced shortly, and when I know, I will pass it on to you.  I am working with the organizers now to hopefully be able to have some of the "Happiness In Hutch" cards available for the taking during the screening.  Here is the museum's blog post about the event!

Using Peer Pressure in a Positive Way

Happy Thanksgiving - and Happy start of this new project!!

We are exceedingly thankful to be starting this project on Thanksgiving Day, 2010!!!  It seems only appropriate to start a project aimed at bringing happiness and gratitude to our everyday lives on this blessed holiday.

Beginning today, you will begin seeing these cards in and around Hutchinson.  They will be given out when you are "hit" with a Random Act of Kindness.  It is the mission of the project to have Random Acts of Kindness become commonplace in Hutchinson.  We can achieve this by not only performing random acts of kindness, but by paying forward any act of kindness bestowed upon you.

We will be handing out the cards with both in person and anonymous acts of kindness.  You can begin now as well.  You don't have to have cards to hand out, but if you choose to, you can purchase some below.  If you order only 5, we will send them for only shipping and handling of $1.00.  Shipping and handling are waived for all larger purchases (purchase them at the bottom of the page).  But, really, you don't need a card to do a random act of kindness, and acts of kindness needn't cost you anything at all.  Give a sincere compliment or expression of appreciation, a smile, a kind word.  There is no limit and no definition - define your own act of kindness!!
